This is a shorter update as there has been less activity today. This is the first update that has been actually written in real-time (10:30pm on the eve of Judging Day). The students are having an earlier night so they can be ready for a 6:30am start with a hot breakfast tomorrow, where I will read out any letters/emails of encouragement that will come in over the next 8 hours. So if you are able to send a greeting with words of encouragement to the team or an individual student please respond to this email.

Tuesday started with two AUSSEF students having to be at their booths at 7am to fix up some minor infractions they had with their structural display. The only two official ISEF events today were two major panel sessions at 10:30am (Excellence in Science and Technology Panel) and 11:30am (Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Impact Panel). During this first session, 12 students were selected out of the 1600 students present, to read out their selected question to a panellist, which they wrote a few weeks ago when filling out their ISEF Questionnaire. One of the 12 selected students was AUSSEF student Yemi Olaitan, who was the third student to read out their question. He asked his question with conviction.

For the rest of the day, we did some filming to thank our sponsors, visited an historic Byzantine-inspired church, had dinner at the historic North Markets and did some further preparation work for tomorrow’s judging.
