Today was a mixture of highs and a low. The low was with the Special Awards Ceremony where AUSSEF finalists failed to win an award. This came with little surprise to us as the Special Award judges only approached two of our finalists yesterday. With our projects we fully prepare our finalists for the Grand Awards making sure our projects meet every judging criteria for these higher level awards. For Special Awards, each sponsor have their own specific judging criteria and this year none of our projects really fitted what they were looking for. Special Awards are an added bonus and unfortunately this year we did not pick up those one or two Special Awards that we usually pick up.

While on the theme of awards, The Grand Awards are starting in a few hours. They will start at Friday 11pm (AEST time) and here is the link, Grand Awards Livestream Link. Make sure you watc

h this, for I am confident that the AUSSEF team will feature.

Briefly, the highs of today were the Public Visitation Day. The Australian and New Zealand teams projects were well attended and we had our own internal competition to see who could draw the biggest crowd, but they needed photographic evidence. It was a very stiff competition with Tim Wilson with his cuddly sleeping aids and Yemi Olaitan with his Tree Hugger and his soft animal toys drawing the biggest crowds. We will let the reader decide who had the biggest crowd.

Also today we had the second group take part in a Segway Tour of Columbus and finally the whole team took part in a fun KGB Investigation in an Escape Room. So we really packed it in today.
